274. BONUS Episode: After Paris 2024: Tammy Parlour, MBE co-founder of Women’s Sport Trust – on gender equality in sport and why it is critical to all of us

Tammy Parlour, is the co-founder of Women’s Sport Trust.  She works with leaders from across sport, media and business to understand how to practically raise visibility, increase impact and create a stronger women’s sport ecosystem and was awarded an MBE in 2019 for services to gender equality in sport. She is a Master in the Korean martial art of Hapkido, having practiced for over 40 years, and currently runs a club in central London. She is a club rep on The FA Women’s National League Board since the end of 2023 and sums up her approach to life succinctly on her biography on LinkedIn as “I love learning”.

31. Brad Baumoel: Brad Baumoel Head of LGBTQ+ Affairs at JPMorgan Chase: Gender Expansiveness for the Next Generation

Brad Baumoel is managing director and Global Head of LGBTQ+ affairs at JPMorgan Chase, a position he assumed in April 2021.  He previously was Portfolio Director for the Chase Digital Platform and prior to that led several large-scale transformative programs and teams across the institution. He was a founding member and prior leader of OPEN Finance NYC, a non-profit LGBT network for the Financial Services Industry.

Eve Ellis is a wealth advisor with William Blair, and is based in the New York City Area. She has a particular interest in socially responsible and impact investments and manages two proprietary portfolios, the gender parity strategy, and the Matterhorn Affinity, Diversity and Inclusion strategy. She’s also a member of the Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment. She has received multiple awards, including featuring on the Crain’s New York Women and Financial Advice naugural list in 2020 as well as the Forbes America’s Top Women Wealth Advisors best in state.

Zander Keig – On Gender Wars and Why Nobody Wins

Zander Keig  is a social worker, emotional wellness and personal growth webinar facilitator, mental fitness coach, and social care clinical consultant based in Central Florida.  He is an advocate for mental wellbeing, LGBT veterans, and trans social care, and was named NASW National Social Worker of the Year in 2020 and NASW California Social Worker of the Year in 2018. 

Galit Desheh – Gender Brave and Color Happy

Galit Desheh is the owner of DG – Diversity Growth Consulting and Strategic Social Change, organizations which work with companies to create an inclusive environment and diverse workforce. She previously worked as Educational Director at the Tel Aviv Sexual Assault Crisis Center and was Executive Director of Israel’s Women’s Network for over 3 years. She is a director of the “Power in Diversity” Initiative to diversify the high -tech industry in Israel and is also a lecturer.

We discuss how Galit has been interested in issues of gender for most of her career, going right back to her PhD topic, and how that led her to undertake a global comparative study of feminism (and to Northern Ireland).

Nicci Take – A Different “Take” on Sales Strategy and Gender Balances

Nicci Take is interim head of growth at Mercer. She is an expert in sales, and is the chairwoman/founder of M62 Vincis, which helps organizations win by working out the last 15 mins of the sales cycle. She is a Presenter, Entrepreneur and stand up Comedienne and a prominent transgender advocate, inspirational speaker and coach. who is a #BritishLGBTAwards Top 10 Inspirational Leader as well as one of the FT 100 Leading LGBT+ Executives 2017.

A conversation that is at turns hilarious and heart-rendering – but always uplifting – Nicci’s transgender journey is as unique as she is, but particularly insightful as to how women are viewed in the workplace – and she has seen both sides of this.

39. Soltan Bryce of Colorful Capital and Guidehouse: Making Finance and Public Health Flow with Pride

Soltan Bryce is a managing consultant at Guidehouse, which is a consulting firm focused on Public Health Strategy, Application Development and Management, and was recently acquired by Bain Capital Private Equity.  He is a part time General Partner at Colorful Capital, which  focuses on “finance flowing with Pride” and aims to bring capital support and scaffolding to enterprises founded and led by members of the broad LGBTQIA+ community, by filling financing gaps and overcoming detrimental heuristics. 

36. Lindsey Young: Quiet Wealth – Loud Impact

Lindsey Young, is the founder of Quiet Wealth LLC, which she started to provide a comprehensive set of financial advisory services that successful LGBTQ+ professionals and their families need.  She previously spent 15 years in Silicon Valley finance, primarily as a investment banker working on M&A, IPOs, leveraged finance and other transactions for technology companies. She also advises a series of non-profits, and is Board President of FreeState Justice, the leading statewide LGBTQ advocacy organization in Maryland.
